How It Started
We’re a Kiwi family of five who, like many others, wanted better for our home. We were searching for practical, sustainable products that didn’t cut corners—garden hoses that didn’t kink or leach chemicals, cleaning tools that actually lasted, and everyday essentials that could keep up with real life. But too often, we found ourselves choosing between throwaway products or options that looked good but came with a heavy environmental cost.
Our extended family and friends felt it too—whether they were setting up homes, heading off-grid, or enjoying time camping. They wanted gear that was safe, long-lasting, and low-impact. With a background in recycling and resource-conscious systems, we knew there had to be a smarter, more sustainable way to meet everyday needs—without all the waste.
That’s what sparked Output Envy.
Not just a brand—but an ongoing response to what real people are asking for. We started by listening—what’s not working, what would make life simpler, and what’s truly needed day to day. From there, we developed—and continue to develop—a growing range of products built around durability, low-tox materials, and minimal waste.
